Comstock Award by the National Academy of Sciences, the first woman to win that award. In 1965, she published Beta Decay, which became a standard text in nuclear physics. In 1972, Chien-Shiung Wu became a member of the Academy of Arts and Sciences, and in 1972, was appointed to an endowed professorship by Columbia University.
